OTHER SERVICES

a) A specialized consultancy to develop the best solution for the DC.

At PGI we develop your data center sourcing options by creating different scenarios that display various alternatives regarding construction, reconstruction, subcontracting and location. Each scenario is supported by a “total cost of ownership” model that illustrates the CapEx, OpEx and cash flow to implement and maintain your plan over a multi-year stretch. This allows you to establish the impact of the chosen strategy. We can also assist you in auditing existing data centers and perform a Gap Analysis to find points of failure (SPOF) or improve energy efficiency.

b) Comprehensive MEP and FP architectural and design services.
  • Conceptual design
    Definition of the general design criteria based on the RPO (client requirements). Definition of basic characteristics, design typologies and location of basic components.
  • Basic design
    Project design and definition is sufficient for obtaining permits and licenses, as well as making an initial estimate of the total cost of construction.
  • Final project
    Complete construction documents with records, drawings, budget and summary of requirements. All our projects are designed in BIM, which helps coordinate the entire team, making time and costs more effective, and avoiding surprises during the construction phase.
  • Environmental certification
    At PGI, our specialized team of professionals accredited in LEED, BREEAM and WELL will help obtain the necessary (or required) certifications for each project. In the event that we cannot certify the project, we will offer the client assistance in obtaining the certifications from the main international organizations such as Uptime Institute (design, installations and operational sustainability), ICREA, LEED, BREEAM, CEEDA, etc.
    We currently carry out the necessary projects and reforms for the conversion of facilities and buildings in order to obtain the certifications according to the standards mentioned above.
c) Commissioning

The services we offer are based on the ASHRAE methodology (“Design Considerations for Datacom Equipment Centers”), which defines 5 levels to be developed sequentially:

  • Level 1: Factory tests.
  • Level 2: Receipt of equipment
  • Level 3: Assembly and pre-commissioning inspections.
  • Level 4: Functional tests.
  • Level 5: Integration testing (SIT). To carry out integration testing, we support the use of load banks (server emulators or heaters) and the study of CFDs as an important part of the process.
d) Project management and technical assistance.

f) Energy efficiency design.
