ADEBUILD project

The ADEBUILD project is one of the seven collaborative and innovative projects presented by CEEC and approved to receive R&D grants from MINCOTUR. The project has been underway since July 2022 and is being developed by a consortium formed by COMSA, Bamboo Energy Platform and PGI Engineering & Consulting.

ADEBUILD project

Within the framework of the project, the consortium will implement and test an energy demand aggregation platform that will operate using cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence algorithms, machine learning and energy optimization and will enable the interoperability, control and maintenance of the most energy-intensive devices in buildings in the tertiary and industrial sectors.

ADEBUILD will offer a solution for energy demand aggregation that will provide an average reduction in a tertiary building's energy bill of 8 to 10%.

In turn, new renewable energy technologies will be added, such as energy storage in batteries, which will facilitate the role of new consumers in the electricity market through aggregation, increasing economic and energy benefits in different energy flexibility schemes both behind-the-meter (behind-the-meter, ToU tariff, peak shaving) and connected to the grid (front-the-meter) through the aggregation platform (FCR, aFRR, etc.) and thus obtaining an economic incentive for their surpluses or energy efficiency. The tool to be implemented will be based on the ability to obtain data, parameters and historical information on energy consumption to feed the platform, but in turn it is intended that the control of intelligent buildings is carried out in real time giving added value to the pilot, allowing the evaluation of multiple business models through the exploitation of these.

The pilot demonstrator building has been provided by COMSA and is located in Barcelona, Spain, the building has the ideal technical characteristics as well as the necessary data to implement the platform.
