Launch of the new division PGI RENEWABLES

PGI Engineering launches the new division PGI RENEWABLES and designs the photovoltaic plant with the largest power in Catalonia

Launch of the new division PGI RENEWABLES

Aware of the need to create corporate environmental policies that contribute to move towards more sustainable and responsible business models, we created PGI RENEWABLES. A division that was born with the desire to address renewable energy projects, thus incorporating in our list of services, a cross-cutting and multidisciplinary approach that includes efficient, innovative and sustainable solutions in the sector.

This division, which designs and implements new technologies such as wind, solar, hydroelectric, oceanic and geothermal among others, is, in fact, the culmination and consolidation of a series of services that the company already offered previously in the engineering division but that after the growing demand for specialized engineering and consulting solutions to meet these new challenges, we have decided to consolidate under this new vertical. According to recent statements by the CEO of PGI Engineering, Aina Juliol, "we want to do our bit and take a step forward by creating a differentiated division, with the best team of professionals dedicated 100% to this type of projects and consultancy associated with renewables for both building and large renewable parks".

In this way, PGI Renewables comes to light as an area of work aimed exclusively at launching large projects that also responds to a strategic plan of expansion and diversification of the PGI group.

CONSTANTÍ 42, the largest photovoltaic plant in Catalonia

PGI RENEWABLES currently has a growing portfolio of projects. Indeed, it is implementing these technologies in various buildings, such as the photovoltaic generation in the most sustainable office building in the world - it has 101 LEED points- Platinum@BCN -. However, the jewel of the crown is the CONSTANTÍ 42 photovoltaic plant, a 17.50-hectare project with a peak power of 16.5 MWp, the highest in Catalonia.

PGI Engineering joins UNEF

The company, faithful to its commitment to building a more sustainable world, has joined the more than 700 companies that already form part of the Spanish Photovoltaic Union (UNEF). This incorporation is one of the first steps that the new division has made public and illustrates one of its basic principles: to contribute to making the energy transition a reality.
